Welcome to the Fit Family

IMG_1412.heic

We are here to create a safe environment where individuals can express themselves while also connecting with their bodies in a way that creates physical, intellectual, emotional & spiritual contentment.

In her precious memory,
Ellie Ramseyer

Our late studio owner and yoga instructor.

Ellie began her yoga journey to help with her pregnancy back pain and she became an instant fan and believer in both its physical, as well as emotional benefits. She chose to practice yoga intermittently through the years in conjunction with other fitness loves such as Bootcamp, Running, and she loved the benefits they allowed her — to work harder and achieve greater gains in her fitness routine. As yoga become a daily routine for her, she knew she wanted to share this love with others in her community. Thus Ellie’s Yoga & Wellness Studio and 333 Fitness Warehouse were born.

Thank you, Ellie, for your passion for fitness, your love for others, and relentless strength. Thank you for your creation of this fabulous facility and for making your dreams come true. We will keep your memory alive every day we are here, in your favorite place.

Dana Yoder

I began my fitness journey at 24 years old and 235lbs. After having my children I was very insecure in my body and I realized I needed to begin fighting for myself. I learned how to exercise, worked on creating a healthy relationship with food and before I knew it I fell in love with the lifestyle and lost over 90lbs. Kickboxing has been a fun part of my fitness journey that has made me feel strong and empowered! But I love High Intensity Interval Training and incorporating weights into my cardio routines as well. It brings me great joy leading a fun and upbeat for others to help them create the love for fitness and for themselves.

Gretchen Acker

I began my love for teaching group fitness class at the Wooster YMCA in 1984.  In my career I taught at the YMCA, Health Point, Kinetics and Jenyce’s and have been certified in choreographed Dance Aerobics, Kickboxing, Reebok Step and by MADD Dogg Spinning where the owner is the developer of Spinning.  I received my Physical and Health Education, Special Ed. and Reading Certification teaching degrees from Ashland College, and my Masters in Sports Science from Ashland University. Currently I teach Health Education at WHMS. During my teaching career I coached Cross Country and Track for 20+ years for WHHS, and am currently working as a certified Track and Field Official with Ohio Track & Field & Cross Country Officials (OHSAA) and USA Track & Field. I am currently the President of the OT&F&CC Association. In my free time, I am an avid outdoor cyclist, wake surfer, walker and dog mom. It has been a life-long goal to share my passion for fitness and helping people develop a healthy lifestyle. I encourage people to understand that it doesn’t take a day to get out of shape, nor will you get in shape in a day….it is a life long process that your body was designed to do.  Fitness classes are an excellent way to cross train, get in shape both physically and mentally and develop some new friendships.

Gretchen Acker spin instructor

Ruth Waltman

Ruth Waltman has been involved in the fitness industry for over 4 decades. Always looking to further her education and training, she completed her Stott Pilates Mat Training in her late 50's and a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in her early 60's. She has been trained in Tai Chi for Balance and spent several years as an Instructor Coordinator and Evaluator for the Silver Sneakers Program. Working with the Senior population as well as experiencing firsthand the effects of aging, Ruth has changed her approach to Yoga and fitness in general. Her diversified training and depth of experience has convinced her of the importance of good nutrition, understanding one's physical limitations, and incorporating chosen modifications and an occasional attitude adjustment, most people can continue on appropriately high level of physical fitness throughout their lifetimes.

Nina Lanning

Nina is a recently retired teacher of 38 years from West Holmes Local School. She started yoga after
retirement and fell in love with the whole yoga concept. Though not the most flexible nor as young as
most, she still loves the way she feels after a wonderful session at Ellie’s. Once she realized there were
other options to yoga, she began to look in to other choices. They say, “You can take the teacher out of
the classroom, but you can’t take the classroom out of the teacher!” This is true of Nina, as well. Once
she realized that there are other forms of yoga, her teaching instincts were re-ignited with the idea of
teaching Chair Yoga. So, she has embarked on a new chapter in her teaching career.

Along with yoga, Nina finds time to quilt, read, play with her three dogs, and also work at Nail’d It in
Millersburg along with National Scenic Byway Foundation as a computer consultant.
